DELIVER NEWCITY ON WEDNESDAYS
Newcity has immediate openings for staff drivers, which involves good pay for a one-day-a-week block of time. Responsibilities include the pickup and delivery of our weekly magazine to designated locations in the city and suburbs. This historically has been a great gig for musicians and artists.

We're specifically looking to fill the overnight shift (starting at 2am), which pays time-and-a-half, but also have opportunities for day and night shifts. The starting base pay rate is $9 per hour ($13.50 overnight). All applicants must have a valid driver's license, and be insurable, hard working and very dependable. NEWCITY EDITORIAL INTERNSHIP
As an unpaid Newcity editorial intern, you will come in about twenty hours a week during normal office hours for about three months. Duties include researching stories, fact-checking, some light reporting, and a modicum of office drudgery. But you will never get anyone coffee. And although it's not required, many interns have had a chance to actually write articles, securing those all-important clips. PROMOTIONS/MARKETING INTERNSHIP
Newcity seeks extremely energetic, creative and motivated individuals to join us for a winter Marketing and Promotions internship. Responsibilities include aiding in event planning, staffing promotions, audience development fieldwork, creative brainstorming, assisting in PR efforts and general marketing support for Newcity magazine and Newcity.com. The ideal candidate should possess a knowledge of Chicago and its social scene, have well developed communication and writing skills and work well on a team.

The position requires a 12-15 hour per week commitment for three months. Internships are unpaid, however, college credit is given when available.
