Dee, working out of a brick-walled warren of loft space on Halsted Street, has over the past fifteen years created the kind of idea-driven, independent-minded list (ranging widely in history, politics, literature, theater and philosophy) that’s become all but extinct in publishing today. The readerly commitment, curiosity and passion that speak to true book lovers characterize all of the books put out by his eponymous house.
