Joe Crede
Considering the busload of kids that the Sox trotted out on the field after moving out the majority of the players brought in to put them over the hump, our choices are plentiful. But in baseball the numbers rarely lie, and with Crede getting a good look at the third sack this year (since Konerko went to the number-one bag full-time), at least he showed why he got called up to the majors. Double digits in homeruns, a respectable batting average for a rookie and just plain old looking like a ballplayer will hopefully spill over into the next ten seasons or so-or until the next fire sale.
