Music Box The Music Box’s diverse, adventurous programming, warm atmosphere, and proper presentation, makes the moviegoing go down good. But its perfume is in its atmosphere. The original Italianate 1929 design of the lobby and auditorium was intended to suggest watching a film in a Mediterranean outdoor theatre, down to old-fashioned “stars and clouds” that twinkle overhead during shows.
