Take a long walk down the Mag Mile and you’ll take in an exhibition of the full range of “brother can you spare a dimes,” from the legitimately homeless and hungry to the free newspaper “vendors” (legit Streetwise guys seem to avoid the Avenue) to the “Good Samaritan” scammers. So extensive and unrelenting is this gauntlet that you might start out Mother Teresa and end up Ebeneezer Scrooge.
