Brian McClure wears many hats: Chicagoland businessman, radio talk show host, children’s book author and, most importantly, creator of the Universal Flag and Symbol. The flag, which consists of a multicolored ball on a white background, has been a part of McClure’s life for decades. “The flag resonated within my being for many years but for many years I was unwilling to allow it to manifest,” McClure remembers. For a long time he was routinely awoken in the middle of the night and told by voices to create the flag. His response: “No, call Oprah, call Wayne Dyer, call someone who has an audience.” A few years ago, though, he accepted his mission to spread the flag around the world. McClure believes the flag will end war and disharmony by reminding people of their essential oneness. Eight months ago it reached its ninetieth country, Uganda, thanks to McClure’s work, which he describes as “kind of like how Noah built the ark.”
