Giant crater on Montrose
Although the official cause was listed as a water-main break, it could just as well have been a meteor that caused a gaping eighty-foot-wide by fifteen-foot-deep crater on Montrose Avenue in January that resulted in days of repairs, dozens of flooded basements and closed businesses, and a mock rally to “Save the Hole!”
