Roberta Brown in the Walnut Room at Macy’s
Her schedule isn’t set in stone, but on your lucky lunch break from work or shopping, you might find eighty-something Roberta Brown jamming on the ivories (her ivories—she owns the digital piano) in the Walnut Room at Macy’s. Brown plays solo in the restaurant year-round, and has become a holiday fixture for Christmas tree gazers. “Everyone loves her to death!” says a Walnut Room employee. “She wears a really cool, glittery visor.”
