Chi-Town Big Game 5/10K
Not everyone thinks getting up early and heading outside for a run in early February is the best idea. And running’s not exactly the most common pre-game preparation for Super Bowl spectating. But the Chi-Town Big Game 5/10K managed to attract a sizable number of runners out to Soldier Field for a snowy outdoor run this year, sweetening the deal by setting up their basecamp (the place where gear check, vendor booths and pre- and post-race festivities are stationed) inside Soldier Field’s United Club. Typically reserved for Club Seat ticket holders, this climate-controlled indoor lounge is plush any time of year, but in snowy February, with a post-race beer and hotdog, it’s divine.
