Longman & Eagle
Yelp could be called a necessary evil. Some have insinuated that the user-based review service actually hurts small businesses by creating perfect expectations out of the gate. So what better way to deal with a scathing review than deck the halls with it? That’s what Logan Square’s Longman & Eagle did, printing their “favorite review” on every coaster in the restaurant. The reviewer accurately bemoaned what most people find appealing about the Michelin-starred establishment, its “dark, gloomy and noisy” aesthetic, lambasting its medieval dishes, “bone marrow and wild boar,” proclaiming, in summation, “Yucky!” The user has since removed their review.
