End of Sabertooth’s Saturday set from 2am-5am
The best way to convince someone to become a jazz fan is to take them to see a live performance. Some liquor and a set of skilled players spoon-feeding a crowd of regulars tends to help. Sabertooth has been holding it down at Green Mill on Saturday nights for over two decades, and their final set of the evening always offers the most daring, intimate moments that the art form can muster. Get there late enough and the infamous Green Mill “no talking” rule is as loose as the buttons on saxophonist Pat Mallinger’s shirt.
