Soho House Chicago
The first hotel in the West Loop has the best rooftop in town and makes a convincing case that Brits are effortlessly cool and understand what Chicago wants better than most natives. The London-based Soho House is part club, part hotel and has selected Chicago as its fifth in North America and largest property to date. Although the club (fitness center, rooftop, fifth floor lounge and restaurant) is members-only, the restaurants, Allis lobby and spa are open to the public, carefully toeing the line between exclusive and pretentious.
