Lucky Plush Productions
Lucky Plush makes dance theater that strikes a rare balance between conceptual and conversational: evening-length narrative shows with plot and character development, but of a slightly deconstructed, abstracted brand that leaves room for the subconscious to stretch its legs. Artistic director Julia Rhoads explores ideas about reality television or plagiarism or marriage or waiting in line at the airport through virtuosic movement and choreography, but there’s always enough theater that you have plenty to talk about after the show regardless if your date dozed off during the dance-y parts.
