Links Hall has always been a nurturing space for experimental dance and emerging artists, but when the organization moved out of the physical Links Hall to the more spacious Constellation theater on Western, programming only got better. Be it rehearsal space for an international collaboration like the recent Chicago-based Hedwig Dances and Havana-based DanzAbierta project, performance space for the ongoing Collision Theory dance/music improv jams, the LinkUp residency program, or more formal presentations from Chicago’s smaller and emerging companies, Links continues to be Chicago’s go-to spot for the daring, the exploratory and the improvisational in movement performance.
