Oracle Productions
The price of a ticket at Oracle Theatre is zero dollars because they work on a donor model similar to NPR, only they don’t stop their shows to berate you about free tote bags. But what makes Oracle the best free theater in town is that they make art available to the masses that is in no way art “for the masses.” There is no Rodgers and Hammerstein, no Kaufman and Hart, and no “50 Shades of Grey” parody musicals. Instead they traffic in original adaptations of obscure Bertolt Brecht plays and shows like “The Sandman,” which could only be described as “like a David Lynch movie only possibly weirder.”
