Sixteen puts as much thought and effort into designing its menus as preparing the intricate tasting menus that change completely each season. From a celestial contrast between the sun and moon to a playful meaty surf and turf inspired by coastlines around the world, chef Thomas Lents and GM Dan Pilkey envision such extravagant meals with extensive tableside service that it’s only fitting that the menus—glass columns placed like chess pieces across an unfurled map of the Chicago coastline for summer—blow guests away before they take the first bite.
