Held in the Northwest Side’s Jefferson Park, this year’s Figment Chicago gave a robust showcase of the communitarian idealism its producers are known for. Using public space for socially engaging projects, including Ayda Keshtkar’s “Honey Tree” project, a climbable wood honeycomb structure for visitors to lounge on, a red curtain performance stage booked throughout the weekend, and a hugging booth with a menu of different hug “flavors.”
