A collaboration between Johnny Love, Zain Curtis (Teen Witch Fan Club) and David Beltran (Starfoxxx), Soft Leather happens twice a month, alternately at The East Room in Logan Square and Door No. 3 in Wicker Park. There you can dance to a variety of electronic tunes, from Italo Disco to Dark Berlin Style Techno, to Jersey Club, Booty House, Juke, Industrial etc. “Just no EDM, please. No EDM,” guarantees Johnny Love. There isn’t a dress code per se, but as the name of the party implies, patrons are encouraged to dress as provocatively as possible. So in case you’re looking for “an oasis in a desert of lowest-common-denominator EDM garbage,” maybe you’ve found your crowd.
