It’s hard to beat a room full of sex workers and their supporters, but the Sex Workers Outreach Project made it into a party like no other. In a night full of performances at Multikulti (an event space in an office building), droves of supporters packed its warren-like rooms. Unlimited drink wristbands weren’t the only draw. There were conversations with social workers, attorneys and care counselors taking place alongside a purely savage dance floor. It’s sure SWOP doesn’t raise enough money at these events, so donations are always useful for this largely community-supported group. redlightchicago.wordpress.com
