We don’t even have to see a Dick Wolf production to love it: there’s esthetics, then there’s economics, then there’s macroeconomics. With “Chicago PD” and “Chicago Fire,” a fire’s been relit, encouraging more and more productions to shoot here, not only enjoying our gorgeous city and its diverse locations, not only to drop dollars into the tax coffers, but to employ local residents who don’t have to think about relocating to be a thriving actor, shooter, scorer, sewer, cutter… Forget “Hollywood Midwest,” let’s make it Chicago Central. It’s not local, it’s home. C’mon, it’s called show business, folks!
