The International Museum of Surgical Science is a beautiful museum full of fascinating medical instruments, history and unique fine art exhibitions. An oft-overlooked place in the city, it can serve so many functions: from edifying visitors about surgical tools and procedures of centuries ago, to acting as a catalyst for inspiration and an array of source material for artists. The permanent mural and architectural beauty only add to its significance in the city’s diverse arts scene. Plus, this place has an iron lung.
