Terry Dowd media blackout
After the initial flurry of news in April around Terry Dowd’s art handlers bidding for unionization, things got pretty quiet. Managers refused to talk to press even as word got out that the initial vote for a union failed and the possible buyout by Mana Contemporary was rumored to have fallen through. Weirdly, the more the organization refuses to speak openly the more sinister this all starts to seem. With a possible re-vote, we’ll see if this art handler powerhouse gets more willing to engage in open dialogue with its workers and community.
