Is this your first Lolla? If not, how many years have you been here?
This is our second time at Lolla. We had an awesome experience last year and look forward to this year.
What will we find at your Lollapalooza booth?
Crazy wacky amazing eccentric art time: prints, original paintings, sketchbooks. A lot of products with our works on them. Maybe live painting at any given time.
Where are you from, what do you do, and how long have you been doing it?
We’re from Philly; my brother and I are both artists. For the past four years we’ve been doing it full time, mostly by touring music and arts festivals, selling art to the mindful masses and trying to get our name out there.
How green are you?
Well in general art isn’t the greenest industry, but we’re green when we can be by upcycling in our work using old frames, magazines and found objects. When given the option, we recycle of course.
What do you plan to be doing in the year 2050?
By that time I hope to have transcended my human form to join the moss clan, growing art on rocks found in your local rock garden!
What band(s) are you hoping to sneak away from your booth to see?
There’s a pretty awesome lineup this year, but to pick a few; Florence + The Machine, Tame Impala, Kid Cudi, TV On The Radio and Paul McCartney are definitely on the top of my list. I was lucky enough to catch Paul a few years ago at Bonnaroo and would like to double-check that box on my bucket list.

This is our first Lolla.
What will we find at your Lollapalooza booth?
We will be transforming people’s arms into psychedelic works of art with our abstract painting process.
Where are you from, what do you do, and how long have you been doing it?
We are from Detroit, Michigan and have been doing this for four years.

Is this your first Lolla? If not, how many years have you been here?
This will be our fifth year, and we’re seriously considering setting down some roots here in Chicago.
What will we find at your Lollapalooza booth?
Chaos is an artisan family workshop practicing the centuries-old craft of serigraphy, in its near-original form. Using skills and secrets developed over the course of thirty years of screen-printing, every one of our garments is printed FREE-HAND. Each piece of clothing is hand-registered and hand-pulled without the use of a press or any machinery, making everything we print a little bit unique and truly one-of-a-kind: tee shirts, tanks and jerseys, mini-dresses and maxi-dresses, wraps and hoodies, messenger bags and totes, hand-printed upcycled vintage denim (jeans and jackets) and NEW flannel, plus more…
Where are you from, what do you do, and how long have you been doing it?
Don Rock, founder of Chaos, has been a guerrilla screen-printer for most of his life. Expelled from art school at a young age, he has been screen-printing anything that will stand still since the early 1980s. From punk-rock posters and tour shirts, political tees, craft-beer labels and tattoos to large-scale paintings and custom fashion textile designs, his work can be found all over the world. Joined by his wife Leann who brings her graphic design and fashion background to the mix, these former New Yorkers live and work out of their tiny ranch in Driftwood, Texas.
How green are you?
We work to reduce our footprint on this earth when and wherever we can. We use water-based, low-environmental-impact inks and print on the most ethical, sustainable garments we can find. We love to “upcycle”—this year we are featuring vintage plaid flannel and western shirts with classic Chaos prints. We also recycle nearly everything in our studio, from the usual office paper to leftover fabric scraps all the way to building our NEW STUDIO(!) out of pallets and found wood.
What do you plan to be doing in the year 2050?
If it doesn’t move, we’re printing it.
What band(s) are you hoping to sneak away from your booth to see?
Honestly, we have to take turns and get so caught up in everything it’s hard to plan—we have found some of our favorite performances completely by accident, so we’re going to leave it to chance.

No, not our first. I believe this will be our sixth or seventh year.
What will we find at your Lollapalooza booth?
Handmade jewelry carved from natural materials such as wood, bone, horn, coconut and shell
Where are you from, what do you do, and how long have you been doing it?
We are based in Santa Cruz, California via Cleveland, Ohio. Coco Loco has been around for about eleven years.
How green are you?
Coco Loco is proud to be a socially responsible and environmentally conscious company. Coco Loco supports over fifty artisans around the globe and strive beyond fair trade. What do you plan to be doing in the year 2050?
That’s anyone’s guess, hopefully introducing a whole new generation to this awesome form of art and of course rocking to the best music around.

Is this your first Lolla? If not, how many years have you been here?
This is in fact our seventh Lolla rodeo. Lollapalooza is one of our favorite events out of the year to be a part of, so we’ve been jonesing for another one since last summer.
What will we find at your Lollapalooza booth?
Other than killer designs carved by hand into wood, you’ll also have the choice of your favorite killer design being inked up and stamped onto any garment you choose. Not only does the experience leave an impression on your mind and the fabric, but it also takes you back in time for a second to witness the way in which the earliest printed materials were executed.
Where are you from, what do you do, and how long have you been doing it?
Originally from the greater Nashville, Tennessee area, and currently living and working in the Big Apple. I am the creative director/ master printer/ cofounder of Drive By Press, and have been doing it for over ten years.
How green are you?
We are pretty green for an apparel brand. We use American-made organic t-shirts and garments for our printing. Unlike screen printers who use harsh chemicals to produce their images, we use good old-fashioned hand work to carve our images into wood-blocks. Our woodblocks are carved from recycled wood material. The ink we use is a non-toxic oil-based printing ink that we came up with ourselves! It’s totally non-toxic and has no environmental impact. We are green because we believe that clothing companies have an obligation to operate in a way that minimizes our impact on the planet and ensures that we operate in a sustainable way.
What do you plan to be doing in the year 2050?
As long as Soylent Green hasn’t become a reality, I won’t have much to complain about. And obviously I hope to still be pulling prints.
What band(s) are you hoping to sneak away from your booth to see?
I’m looking forward to witnessing the Black Tiger Sex Machine court the Lion Babe. But in all seriousness, Tame Impala, Flying Lotus, and Death From Above 1979 are gonna kill it!

Is this your first Lolla? If not, how many years have you been here?
This is actually our fourth year vending at Lolla in Chicago and we hope to vend as long as they will have us! It is by far one of our favorite festivals of the summer.
What will we find at your Lollapalooza booth?
Custom-stamped charms and bracelets, handmade leather goods, screen-printed tanks and tees, and our ever-popular $5 mystery grab bags.
Where are you from, what do you do, and how long have you been doing it?
When I’m not traveling and vending at festivals, I spend my days at my shop just outside St. Louis, Missouri. I opened The Foundrie in 2009 focusing on handmade and independently produced goods.
How green are you?
Being a small-business owner of a retail store means looking for ways to repurpose and reuse materials all the time. From our displays to our products, it saves us money and saves the planet in the process.
What do you plan to be doing in the year 2050?
If I live to the ripe old age of eighty-six, I hope I am still enjoying life, drinking beers, and telling the kids to get off my lawn.
What band(s) are you hoping to sneak away from your booth to see?
I’ve been lucky enough to catch several of my favorite bands at various festivals this year already but I heard I shouldn’t miss Gogol Bordello live at Lollapalooza.

Where are you from, what do you do, and how long have you been doing it?

What do you plan to be doing in the year 2050?

The fashion industry has a great opportunity of improvement, especially when it comes to worker’s rights, human exploitation and child labor. In 2050 we will be continuing to advocate for GOOD business, and will have made positive, impactful motions forward as a movement.

Is this your first Lolla? If not, how many years have you been here?
This is our third year at Lolla 🙂
What will we find at your Lollapalooza booth?
Vintage clothes for girls and guys, vintage and handmade jewelry, vintage boots, hats, etc.
Where are you from, what do you do, and how long have you been doing it?
We’re based out of Lafayette, Indiana (where our vintage boutique is located); however we travel all over the US selling out of Trucky, our fashion truck.
How green are you? Why?
SUPER GREEN: Reusing/ wearing vintage items is the most environmentally friendly way of dressing. Every time you buy or wear vintage clothes instead of newly manufactured clothing you are recycling! And, we’re helping reduce the carbon footprint we leave on the earth because the amount of energy needed to produce vintage clothing is ZERO.
What do you plan to be doing in the year 2050?
Hopefully by that time we will be retired!

What will we find at your Lollapalooza booth?
Awesome leather jewelry, all handcrafted in Austin, Texas!
Where are you from, what do you do, and how long have you been doing it?
I am from West Texas, El Paso to be exact, and I am a jewelry designer and boutique owner. This time around I have been doing it ten years!
How green are you?
To me, the most important part of “being green” is to actually understand what this means. It’s not just about trying to recycle, or talking about eating organic foods. It is actually understanding how these simple steps effect many other facets of all of our lives, not just that one simple action.
What do you plan to be doing in the year 2050?
Traveling!
What band(s) are you hoping to sneak away from your booth to see?
Paul McCartney and TV On The Radio!

How green are you?
We try to make our whole design process eco-friendly by sourcing recycled, hand-woven and organic fabrics. Then we work with over ten fair-trade facilities and women-owned co-ops around the world to produce the clothing. I have seen the difference that ethical production can have for those producing our clothing which is why we think it is important.

This is certainly not our first time at Lolla! We love Lolla and have been coming for the last several years.

Where are you from, what do you do, and how long have you been doing it?
Synergy is based out of Santa Cruz, California and we have been around since 1993.
How green are you?
We are as green as we can possibly get! Our cotton is one-hundred-percent organic. We only use low-impact dyes. We recycle boxes for shipping. We use recycled hangers. Our warehouse uses solar lighting. Our paper products are made from recycled paper. We literally take every measure possible to be green. Why? Because we CARE about the earth and we want future generations to be able to enjoy all the beauty that the world has to offer.
What do you plan to be doing in the year 2050?
In 2050 we will probably still be making adorable, comfy, organic clothing and spreading the Synergy love! Hopefully more companies will have discovered the importance of responsible business practices by then and we will live in a world where everyone considers the impact of a purchase.

Paul McCartney and Metallica are no-brainers. But to be honest, we are so excited about all the bands that we will be sneaking off every chance we get!

What will we find at your Lollapalooza booth?
Transit Tees will be featuring hand-screened apparel including the Chicago Loop Stripe design, hand-sewn CTA map tees, pillows from reclaimed materials and up-cycled pallets featuring the Chicago flag.
Where are you from, what do you do, and how long have you been doing it?
Transit Tees is based out of Chicago and has a store located in Wicker Park. How green are you?

Hopefully Transit Tees will be in every major city in the country continuing to design t-shirts, hardlines and housewares.

Is this your first Lolla? If not, how many years have you been here?
This will be my eighth year at Lolla!
What will we find at your Lollapalooza booth?
My inspiration is music. It’s the driving force of my present and my memories. People will find an artistic representation of emotion in the artists I paint. From Paul McCartney to Metallica to Billie Joe Armstrong. You can feel the essence of these people in my paintings.
Where are you from, what do you do, and how long have you been doing it?
I’m from Austin. I live sixty percent of the year in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, a world-class art city. I am a portrait painter. My specialty is music. I’ve been doing it for sixteen years!

WE are citizens of the planet and should be mindful of our impact. I use green inks, biodegradable products, in all my giclees and reproductions.
What do you plan to be doing in the year 2050?
I don’t plan on being in this realm anymore. I’d be eighty-five. If I still am, I’m sure I will still be enjoying life and trying to create something beautiful.
What band(s) are you hoping to sneak away from your booth to see?
Metallica!
