Full Moon Jam
This summer, the seasonal monthly Full Moon Jam at Foster Beach really started to hit a critical mass, drawing thousands of attendees. Kid-friendly, the roped-off area in the grass south of the soccer fields at Foster Beach starts at sundown and dazzles with a full evening of fire-dancing performances, some involving near-contortionist athletic displays, or flaming whips that crack and crackle with streaks of orange flame. At each performance, the peak is achieved when the full moon rises over the scene, and the thumping drum circle area really kicks into gear, with throngs of people dancing and raging well into the night.
