Eat pho on Argyle Street
CDOT is currently constructing a European-style “shared street” on Argyle between Broadway and Sheridan Road. The initiative involves lowering the speed limit to fifteen miles-per-hour, bringing the street up to sidewalk level, and blurring the boundaries between pedestrian and vehicle space. When the project’s completed, it will make this Southeast Asian retail district an even more enjoyable place to dine and shop. However, business owners say they’re currently suffering due to limited parking and sidewalk access. Why not help them out by grabbing a bowl of pho rice noodle soup at one of the strip’s countless Vietnamese restaurants? As you dip your chopsticks into the beefy broth, redolent of star anise and dressed with basil, mint and cilantro leaves, know that you’re about to enjoy a great meal—for a good cause.
