Miss Tosh
A designer and pattern maker by trade—having studied at the fashion department of The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and currently creating bespoke formal wear for individual clients—Tosha Sherman, aka Miss Tosh, performs her dazzling burlesque shows covered in Swarovski encrusted garments. Inspired by Marlene Dietrich and Josephine Baker, she describes her act as “a glamorous fantasy that manifests and sparkles before your very eyes”—a vision she has taken to prestigious events such as the SAIC 150th Year Celebration and Barbara DeGenevieve’s memorial. But Miss Tosh is not just eye candy: she has recently hosted a fundraiser for Project Fierce, an organization that provides transitional housing and support services to homeless LGBTQ young adults. Find out what her next move is at misstosh.com.
