Logan Square’s iconic Johnny’s Grill reopened under the new management of Sarah Jordan, who has resolved to keep the greasy spoon aesthetic while updating with a modern touch. Johnny’s has annexed the neighboring storefront (former home to Fleur) to include a bar and outdoor patio. Unlike the diner’s stools and bright fluorescents, the bar decor is darker, with high-top seating and potted plants. You can still get breakfast anytime, an Irish Breakfast or Salmon Benedict, but can now add a beer-and-a-shot combo or a side of homemade ice cream.
