Open Practice Committee, DOVA at the University of Chicago
Not to be outdone by their North Side counterpart, the University of Chicago’s Department of Visual Arts runs the powerhouse Open Practice Committee, which brings artists, curators and other intellectuals to the South Side. This year, international guests like Jan Verwoert, Thomas Hirschhorn, Ariella Azoulay and Hito Steyerl joined the OPC roster alongside impressive local names like William Pope.L, Molly Zuckerman-Hartung and Jessica Stockholder.
