A product of Chicago Loop Alliance, Activate events take over the little-noticed alleys amongst Chicago’s iconic skyscrapers to present lively street parties. With temporary art installations, some of Chicago’s best DJs and relatively inexpensive drinks, these seemingly impromptu parties enliven the Loop. Designed to give office drones a pleasant surprise after a long day of toil and draw people in from Chicago’s far-flung neighborhoods, these events redefine the idea of a block party.
