The Comfort Station is dedicated to hosting public programs, with Wednesday nights reserved for film. The event organizers (named to Newcity’s Film 50) keep it versatile hosting both indoor and outdoor events, with their unique little triangular footprint perfect for outdoor screenings. Bring a blanket and snacks and enjoy a variety of local and international films and documentaries. This past summer they explored the history of the genre, screening from the obscure 1960 Scopitone projector; employed orchestral accompaniment; sought out commentary from directors, and hosted world premieres.
