Anything Diana Slickman is part of, you should probably want in on. However, the opportunity to sit ringside at a Write Club bout and witness Slickman take down her opponent is a particularly special thing. To say she floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee is an understatement. She currently holds the record as winning the most Write Club bouts and holding the undefeated-champion title the longest. One of her epic bouts, “Prose vs. Poetry,” will outlive us all as it’s been documented for all time in “Bare-Knuckled Lit: The Best of Write Club.” But you’re going to want to see her compete in person. As founder and overlord of the Write Club Ian Belknap says, she’s an “uncompromising and singular treasure.”
