When asked how important Jonathan Hood is to the Chicago sports media marketplace, Laurence Holmes says this: “He changed sports radio sonically.” When asked how important Holmes is to the Chicago sports media marketplace, Hood says this: “He speaks with his heart and it’s genuine.” And they are rivals. Much respect for each putting respect first. And knowing the importance each holds in a “game” (sports radio) designed and determined for them to be voiceless and obsolete. Damn shame that it’s just them. Damn glad Chicago got ‘em both.
