Animale
Walking beneath the Blue Line stop, past the murals outside Animale, you’d expect to find something different there, and you’d be right. From the guys behind Osteria Langhe, there’s chicken and some veggie items, but also knock-out rabbit livers, Wagyu tongue with puttanesca, blood sausage and some of the tastiest tripe, perked up with jalapeno. Families can park their strollers in the front lobby, alcohol is available, and you’re in and out in under an hour, well-fed and happy to have some of the most outstanding offal around, value-priced and prepared with cheffy attention to detail.
