There are a ton of great Filipino pop-ups in Chicago—Peking House, Maddy’s Dumpling House, Hapa, Oxtail—but we have to hand it to the founders of Filipino Kitchen for bringing them all together. In addition to running a blog, co-founders Sarahlynn Pablo, Natalia Roxas-Alvarez and Caitlin Preminger partner with Filipino chefs to host not-to-be-missed pop-up dinners and Kultura, a Filipino food festival that this year featured the infamous $100 gold-flecked Ube donut.
