Black male morning radio hosts
Before Brian Babylon left the “Morning AMp” on Vocalo last year, there was a quiet “birth of a nation” going on on morning radio in Chicago. But not even the “Prince of Bronzeville’”s departure could silence or dilute the trend of black male voices that wake up the city every day. (And not syndicated voices like Tom Joyner or Steve Harvey.) In an era where all claim the black male Chicago voice is mute, McGill (WVON), Rogers (WGCI) and Niice (B96) speak truth to power and are voices for the powerless.
