“Brujos” is a radically politicized web series that follows four gay Latino doctoral candidates who also happen to be witches. Shot on the South Side, primarily in Little Village, the four opening episodes paint a dark yet comedic narrative of the quartet navigating a world of magic and sex, while they are also hunted by a secret society of “white heteronormative male descendants of the first New World colonizers,” according to creator Ricardo Gamboa, who also co-stars.
