The Floating Opera Company
Chicago is well-fixed for opera companies, but only one is, by design, nimble enough to play multiple venues. Floating Opera isn’t shy of big productions, either. In 2015, it tackled Mozart’s “Così Fan Tutte,” which it debuted in Chicago and then took to Minneapolis—and earlier this year debuted “War and Peace,” featuring a composite score of songs spanning the first World War to recent protest songs.
