“Wayne’s World” 25th Anniversary Celebration
Beloved “Wayne’s World” turned twenty-five in February. Even though the film takes place in Aurora, it wasn’t filmed there (some scenes were shot in Chicago). But on the Fourth of July, the city organized an event celebrating the milestone. Fans gathered in Aurora’s RiverEdge Park to break the Guinness World Record of most people simultaneously headbanging to “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Around 1,000 people showed up and shattered the previous record from 2014, with 320 Australians headbanging. See how worthy humans can be when they put differences aside and rock together? Party on.
