Chicago’s not a big country-music town, especially not in comparison to Nashville or Branson. But homegrown Garth and Shania wannabes can content themselves with a weekly throwdown. Bub City’s rustic ambience may be ersatz, but the band that assembles each Tuesday night is the real deal. As for the bona fides of the vocals, that’s up to you, isn’t it?
