Every summer, the Shedd takes advantage of the unbeatable cityscape vistas provided by its promontory seat with Jazz at the Shedd, a weekly outdoor jazz event on the veranda outside its north face. Featured players are mainly topflight local talents; this year’s lineup included Shawn Salmon Duo, Petra van Nuis and Chris Greene Quartet. Other lakefront music fests may boast more music, but none boasts more lakefront.
