The restaurant scene has been quietly building in Evanston, largely due to the efforts of Amy Morton. Hidden just enough to offer adventure, The Barn is situated off an alley, and slipping through the thick velvet curtain inside the door adds to the thrill of entry. Set in a former barn, as you might guess, the setting is nevertheless luxurious, and the “meat-centric” menu is decadent. Order anything prepared table-side for truly personalized service. Morton is often on-site, as attentive as the staff, always hoping her guests are satisfied.
