Fontina Tortelli at Boka
So many choices, so much insanely amazing food, so many never-taste-anything-like-this-again culinary innovations, so many ingenious chefs, so little time to get it all in, especially for a visitor who insists on understanding why Chicago got the title. (Or why Condé Nast Traveler claimed we were the “Best Restaurant City in America.”) With a three-month wait to get on a list to get into Alinea, a three-hour wait to get an Au Cheval burger and the difficulty in having someone not named Andrew Zimmern try the braised beef tongue (in peanut butter sauce) at Mi Tocaya Antojeria, just one bite of the “never coming off the menu” fontina tortelli at Boka will make them understand. And probably want to never leave.
