If poet and scholar Eve Ewing isn’t accomplished enough, she’s embarked on another endeavor: writing the Marvel comic “Iron Heart.” The series follows Riri, a gifted black Chicagoan who attends MIT as a fifteen-year-old. She develops her own iron suit, which draws the attention of Tony Stark. The first issue will be in stores November 7. (Alexis Franciszkowicz)
