House of Vans
It’s been two years since the newly opened House of Vans became one of Chicago’s favorite destinations for free summer concerts—their signature Vans House Party series. But the industrial warehouse space that doubles as an indoor skate park also features emerging artist’s exhibitions—installation, photographic works and the like—and hosts artist-led workshops and indie-film premieres. Building a community beyond skate culture and bringing in food, beer, art and music, House of Vans is, in reality, a cultural hub for fans of the brand everywhere. For those who are not there yet, here’s your opportunity to embrace their off-the-wall philosophy you didn’t know you needed. (Vasia Rigou)
