I know: glogg, the historic murals. I know. But the most distinctive feature of Simon’s Tavern is their live music roster. Go on a Wednesday night and you’ll see incredible bands whose members have gigs the coming weekend with Mucca Pazza, Poi Dog Pondering, Brian Wilson and NRBQ. You’ll see a shabby speaker jammed into the corner and wonder why the room sounds great. And you’ll see a lot of musicians in the audience.
