Church of the Epiphany/Nike
Basketball in the city has, for the most part, been a religious experience. For decades, hoop legends and Chicago b-ball luminaries have preached the gospel to the world: Basketball in Chi is spiritual—more than just a game. This summer, Nike took that analogy seriously. Using the Church of the Epiphany (which had recently been converted as a performing arts and event space), the brand turned their former Chi-League into a training module for elite and non-elite high-school players to connect with the game on a higher level.
