The adage about location being the most important consideration about real estate is undeniably true. Acadia is one of Chicago’s premier fine dining locations. Ryan McCaskey’s kitchen turns out seasonal, New American dishes that outshine the best being offered a few miles north—and his work has been recognized by Phil Vettel’s four stars, two Michelin stars and a Jean Banchet award. But Acadia is off the main path for those select Chicago diners who can afford a tasting menu that brushes against $200, which is unfair.
