It can’t be defined by sound. It can’t be defined by instrument, singer, genre or BPM. House music is defined by feel and reaction. It’s defined when Alan King plays Stevie Wonder’s “As” in one of his sets at Chant or when John Simmons drops Machine’s “There But For The Grace Of God Go I” in one of his Vocalo mixes.
